The Kanowna Solar Farm, built by Meralli in 2019 (here’s the background to the build), is located 95km west of Moree. The recent floods had a big impact on the area and we were delighted to see that the facility didn’t skip a beat, despite the impact of flooding.
With 187mm of rain falling in the area, you can see the flooding below (top right). The image on the bottom right shows the output from the generator during that time – as soon as the sun came out, it was back pumping out power as designed.
It’s a real testament to the design and installation process used by Meralli and the technical capability driven by the innovation of our partners Jurchen Technology and their PEG Framing system.
